Meet Julie Upshaw
Founding Attorney, Blue Ridge Legacy Law
Estate Planning Attorney – Western North Carolina and North Georgia
I’ve been a licensed attorney since 2001 (Georgia State University College of Law), but my journey into estate planning started when I witnessed firsthand how meaningful it can be.
After seeing a loved one gain peace of mind from having a plan in place during a terminal illness, I knew this was the legal path I was meant to take. Estate planning allows me to connect deeply with my clients, offer education instead of pressure, and provide lasting value through custom legal solutions.
My mission is to guide you through decisions that protect your people and reflect your values. I want to be your trusted advisor—someone who understands your family, your goals, and how your plan should grow as your life evolves.
Life Outside the Office
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me enjoying the mountains with my husband John, our three adult children and their families, our two cats, and Huckleberry—our ever-loyal yellow lab.
